Enjoy this four hour tour of Colombo by tuk tuk. A fun way to get around, this tour is an interactive immersion into local life, culture and a chance to sample Sri Lankan food and of course tea. Heading to famous landmarks including the Dutch Hospital.
You will be met by your guide and driver for the next few hours who will show you around. Beginning at Gangaramaya Buddhist temple, this is a hidden gem and a great place to start.
Next, to the Independence memorial Hall where you will learn a little about Sri Lanka's past. If you are doing this tour in the morning, you can even get the chance to visit the local fruit and veg market, before heading to Pettah Market. For those who like spices, visit a Sri Lankan spiced fruit stop, although be warned its not for the faint hearted.
Onto the Dutch Hospital, this is the oldest building in fort and one of the city's most well-known landmarks. It is here you'll find lots of shops and delicious restaurants, including the Ministry of Crab.
Back on your tuk tuk, take in the panoramic views of Sambodhi Chaithya, overlooking the old city and future city before enjoying a Ceylon tea tasting experience at Tea triumph.
Your tour will end with a sit down and enjoying an authentic Sri Lankan meal in one of the city's well-known restaurants. After your meal, you will be dropped back at your hotel to relax.
