Scenic Chuxi Tulou

Comprising of five large circular buildings and ten rectangular buildings nestled among tall picturesque hills, Chuxi is considered among the most scenic Tulou cluster in the Yongding area. Jiqinglou is the oldest and most outstanding.
Unlike other round earth buildings which usually only has four public stairways, Jiqinglou boasts a staggering number of 72 stairways, essentially dividing it into 72 independent units. Amazingly, not even a single nail used in the construction of this building which has remained intact after 600 years. Jiqinglou is also home to over 10,000 exhibits narrating the unique history and culture of the Hakka people.
