Qufu's Confucian Legacy

We dedicate the day to visit the Confucian Temple, the Confucian Mansion and the Confucian Family Graveyard. Afterwards, we visit the Confucius Museum if time permits.
The largest and oldest of its kind in Qufu, the Temple of Confucius was a former house of Qufu. It is among the largest temple complexes in China with the main temple consisting of nine different couryards arranged on a central axis.
Also known as Yangshenggong Mansion, the Confucian Mansion comprises of 463 halls, rooms and houses. With an area of 13.3 hectares, it is also the largest landlord manor in the history of China. A quintessential feudal aristocrat manor, the main building was first used as a government office before converted into a dwelling house.
Finally, the Confucian Family Graveyard captures a long history of over 2,340 years. Inside, you can find approximately 10,000 tombs over a 1,266-meterdense forest which were planted during the Song and Yuan dynasties.
Time permitting, we will visit the Confucius Museum, which houses over 12,000 cultural relics from which you can learn about the life contribution of Confucius and his teachings.
