The Slender West Lake is beautifully enhanced with weeping willows, pavilions and pagodas which is elaborately connected to form a beautiful belt of garden lake scenery and earn a place in the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Geyuan Garden represents a quintessential example of a traditional private garden in Jiangsu. It was built as a private retreat by salt distribution commissioner Huang Zhiyun in 1818 with cluster of bamboo leaves. It is also known for its seasonal rock gardens of different hues and shapes to represent four different seasons.

He Garden is known for its state-protected heritage site and mansion, which once belonged to He Zangdao during the reign of Emperor Tongzhi.

Finally,the Daming Temple Scenic Area is an important cultural site where various Buddhist rites were performed circa the Song Dynasty.
