Backdoor Hike to Mount Fanjing

For those with more time and energy, we recommend to hike through the West Route where there are relatively less crowd. From here, you will pass through a couple of scenic stops surrounded by mountains and fleecy clouds before arriving at the Golden Peak, where you can appreciate iconic landmarks such as the Red Cloud Golden Summit and the Mushroom Stone.

The hike up is slowly rising and less strenuous compared to the South Route, making it easy to appreciate the beauty of your surrounding. Walking down the 8,000 steps are rewarding with its stunning sceneries, however if you are feeling strenuous, there is always an option to board the cable car down instead.
