Tai'an
Located in the Shandong province, Tai'an is the gateway city to Mount Tai. Mount Tai holds major cultural significance and is known as one of the Five Great Mountains of China.
Mount Tai is also the oldest example of Cambrian-era mountains in the Eastern China. It is believed to be a sacred mountain and was visited by emperors during the Zhou Dynasty who would meditate in the mountain. Several deities are associated to Mount Tai, and as such, the emperors would offer some sacrifices.
