Best time to Visit
Good time to visit
Average time to visit
Vancouver's climate is the mildest in Canada, averaging 20°C in summer and 2°C in winter. But you don't hear much about that accolade. Instead you hear about the rain. Bucket loads of it fall, especially in winter (January, February and March). In the mountains, a mere 20 minutes away, this translates into snow for excellent skiing. TThe average seasonal snowfall at 1600m (5000 feet) is a spectacular 25 meters (75 feet), four or five times the average in most areas of the Alps. July through September are the best bets for sunshine.

The Four Seasons has a great downtown location and I think this is why so many people choose to stay there, that and the name of course. You are spoiled with the level of service at the Four Seasons with the staff completely at your beck and call as always with this brand. You are within minutes to some great shops and restaurants and within walking distance to most of Vancouver's highlights. In the summer vacations they put some lovely little events for the kids so that even they can enjoy this luxurious city hotel.

Wonderful downtown location within walking distance of Robson Street and all the shops and minutes from the sky train. The Pacific Center is one of the best Malls in Vancouver and under the hotel. Yew is one of Vancouver's great seafood restaurants within the hotel and their pool and garden a small oasis on a sunny day!

City hotels are always difficult to define. In most cases, city stays demand a comfortable bed to sleep in and good location and anything else may or may not be required. Vancouver has a huge choice of hotels so why choose the Four Seasons above anything else? To start with, theres the name. Anyone who knows the brand knows that there are certain guarantees with a stay at a Four Seasons. Although you often can be anywhere in the world once you step inside, you are assured a certain level of service and comfort and the Vancouver Four Seasons delivers this in abundance. From a welcoming and swift check in to remembering your name when you return to the front desk a day or two later, these little touches make all the difference. The location in Vancouver is prime, Four Seasons has one of the best spots, above the Pacific shopping mall, 2 minutes walk from Robson Street and across from the Vancouver Art Gallery, you couldnt be in a better spot. The waterfront is an easy 10 minute downhill stroll. The hotel enjoyed a multi million dollar refurbishment recently and the rooms have been refreshed to ensure all creature comforts. The bathrooms and small, very small, however, the rooms themselves are some of the largest in the city. None of them enjoy harbor views, however, ask for a high floor for pleasant city views. One of the big draws of the hotel is its fabulous 4th floor indoor / outdoor pool and huge terrace space, complete with streams and fountains. Perfect for a post sightseeing dip and relax, especially when traveling with children, they are a welcome oasis from city life. Ass to this one of the best seafood restaurants in the city, Yew, and you have some lovely little extras to bring this from being just another city hotel to one that stands out from the rest.
