Goris
Relatively under-visited, Goris is a beautiful area that lies between Southern Armenia and Iran. While infrastructure is relatively underdeveloped, it rewards off-the-beaten guests with picturesque isolated Christian monuments including the iconic Tatev Monastery.
One of Armenia's best, the Tatev Monastery overlooks the jaw-dropping Vorotan Canyon, accessible by the world's longest non-stop double track cable car. Surrounded by brick red cliffs, Noravank Monastery features intricate church carvings with craggy rocks jutting out behind the façade. Known for its unique access via a 160-meter long swinging bridge, Khndzoresk Cave Village will bring out your inner adventurer.
