Best time to Visit
Good time to visit
Average time to visit
Offering warm temperatures throughout the year the Caribbean is a perfect year round destination. With an average of 9 hours sunshine a day the peak season runs from December through to April which is the dry season when you can expect very little rainfall. May to November are the slightly wetter months where you will find an increase in rainfall as the summer season goes on and with that some humidity, however the Summer months are still a great time to travel as the temperatures are hot and the rain tends to come in short heavy bursts but not all day long. The wettest months with the most humidity are September and October and these are the most probable months for hurricanes to occur in the region although many islands have not experienced hurricanes for a number of years. The average daily temperatures range from the mid-seventies in the winter months and mid-eighties in the summertime.
To start planning your vacation to Villa Turquoise
Description
High above the gently lapping waters of the Caribbean, Villa Turquoise perches on a cliff looking towards the sunrise. A brand new property, the villa combines spacious luxury living, incredible views and quiet seclusion from the island's larger resorts.
Just a couple of minutes’ walk from Nonsuch Bay Resort, Villa Turquoise has been built to an extremely high specification by its private owners, with a real personal touch throughout. The villa can be accessed via a private stepped pathway cut into the hillside, which opens out onto a grassy courtyard that is perfect for escaping to on a breezy day.
The main area brings the outside in thanks to its 20-foot sliding doors, and spills out to the terrace, Villa Turquoise's ace card. Looking out from the cliff top, glass balustrades around the property ensure the majestic view of the horizon isn't spoiled. The master bedroom, bathroom and Gaggenau kitchen also open straight onto the terrace, making Villa Turquoise a perfect property for couples who want to really get away from it all. If you do decide to take the rest of the family, there are a further two well-appointed double bedrooms, each set in their own cottage a few steps up from the courtyard garden, offering equally impressive views. Due to the large footprint of the villa, even when at capacity with a whole family, there are lots of nooks, crannies and hideaways where a book can be read or solace found, with only the Caribbean soundtrack of birdsong and gently rustling palms to distract you.
You can be completely flexible on when and where you eat when staying at Villa Turquoise, but we recommend taking advantage of the excellent food at Nonsuch Bay, just a two-minute walk away. We can also organize a full provisioning package at the villa, meaning all the essentials are taken care of and available in your pantry when you want them. We can also organize for a private chef to come and cook for you at Villa Turquoise, should you understandably not want to leave the place for a second!
Make sure that you can enjoy the world class sailing conditions of Nonsuch Bay, with a fleet of RS dinghies and keelboats available to use – these are some of the best sailing facilities in the Caribbean. You can also enjoy the hundreds of acres of flat, uncrowded water for kitesurfing.
This area of Antigua is definitely all about taking life slowly and enjoying the things right in front of you, but if you do feel the need to go and party, the big sailing hub of English Harbour is only twenty minutes away, with a host of restaurants and bars, all against a fascinating historic backdrop. Alternatively, relax in Villa Turquoise's stunning ocean-side pool, and admire the view while taking a dip.
Accommodation
Villa Turquoise has three bedrooms, each offering en-suite facilities. Two bedrooms are in separate cottages, situated higher up from the main building, and are accessed from the villa's grass courtyard. Bedrooms are spacious, and the use of white décor with bright pops of color ensure rooms feel light and airy.
Facilities
There are a variety of both indoor and outdoor dining areas at Villa Turquoise, as well as a fully-equipped kitchen and outdoor barbecue. You can prepare your own meals, walk the two minutes to the restaurant at Nonsuch Bay Resort, or alternatively we can arrange a private chef to put together an extensive menu to suit each guest's personal tastes.
Activities
Below the villa itself, you have access to the fantastic water sports facilities provided by Nonsuch Bay, as well as the resident kitesurf school, meaning your stay can be as action packed as you desire. Antigua offers some of the world's best conditions for sailing and kitesurfing, so there is no better place to learn! Alternatively, you can unwind in the comfort of Villa Turquoise, and make full use of the ocean-side pool, table tennis table and pool table.
