I live for adventure and that has always been a deciding factor for where I live and what I do. Whether it was spending the day climbing over mountain passes, floating on the snow on a powder day or paddling down river in a nature preserve, I make sure I always end my adventures with family, friends, good food and libations.
Many years were spent exploring the US Virgin Islands and the British Virgin Islands with exotic fish swirling around me, along with the occasional barracuda. Sailing to the Island of Anegada for lobsters, hiking on St John and swimming up to the Soggy dollar bar were just a few of my favorites. I also cherish the time I spent biking through Tuscany, Bordeaux, Burgandy, Provence and the South Island of New Zealand.
Since day one, my goal has been to teach my children to have a love of travel, culture and adventure. We love road tripping, we have extensively traveled throughout the US, and had an extraordinary road trip through Europe for 90 days. During that time, our home schooling took place in museums, at UNESCO heritage site and places more off the beaten track such as the monoliths in Corsica. Most recently, I was fortunate enough to watch a volcano erupting in Iceland and to sleep on an open-air rooftop in Kenya, listening to the sounds of animals gathering at the nearby watering hole. Creating memories, inspiring others, and traveling with the people I love is what has always been most important to me.
