Why Work for Scott Dunn?

Read on to find out a little more information about the culture and benefits of working for Scott Dunn…

Found just over 20 miles north of San Diego, our open-plan, industrial style office is situated in the beach town of Solana Beach, California. We’re just a six-minute walk from the ocean, and the company surfboards and outdoor shower are in regular use over lunch breaks. If shopping is more your style, we’re also a short walk from Solana Beach’s renowned Design District.

Life at Scott Dunn is fun and sociable and hard work is regularly rewarded with anything from “family-style” lunches on our sunny patio to bagels and juice for breakfast. On a Friday we encourage everyone to stick around for a quick drink or two to catch up on the week and we often find ourselves heading out for a hike after work or celebrating Taco Tuesday. We also have a Speaking Series where we invite Travel Consultants and guest speakers to share their expert knowledge over wine, beer and cheese with both the rest of the company and our guests.

A passion for travel is what brings the team together and as a Travel Consultant you will get the opportunity to see the world within your area of expertise. Scott Dunn even has a Travel Planner dedicated to staff travel, helping to get us competitive rates on our portfolio of hotels and experiences for our own vacations.

We understand that working in the travel industry means you’ll want time to get away. We offer a basic vacation leave of 18 days with an additional day accrued for every year of service. Each employee receives a yearly contribution to a Travel Fund, which after three years of working with us, you gain access to. Alongside this, Scott Dunn also offers medical and travel insurance, as well as a 401(k)-pension scheme.

Global Brand

Since 2016, Scott Dunn has grown from just two offices in the UK to eight offices globally. We’ve also won the Conde Nast Traveler Readers Award for the Best Tour Operator five years in a row. Working with Scott Dunn is an exciting opportunity to work for a well-respected, international company and it’s something we’re all incredibly proud of.

We understand that the travel industry isn’t perfect and that we have a responsibility to give back where we can. That’s why we encourage our team to get involved with our charities. From beach clean-ups with our local Surfrider chapter to encouraging less plastic usage in our office, we are a team that cares. We also offer our team volunteering opportunities in Africa, the UK and South East Asia with our charities. Finally, whether you’re running a marathon or growing a moustache for a personally chosen charity, Scott Dunn will match any money you raise and donate it to the cause.
