The beautiful island of Ibiza is an ideal destination to unwind, relax and spend time with families and friends. The island has long held its reputation for being "the place to be" during the summer months and in the July and August, the popular hot spots within Ibiza Town and surrounding areas are alive with the sound of music. However, outside of these towns and within the rural hamlets of southern Ibiza, the countryside is incredibly diverse and provides the perfect backdrop for a completely different holiday vibe. In addition, the stunning coastline has an incredible 53 beaches to be discovered. ranging from small intimate and beautiful bays (calas) to long sandy stretches that are great for families. Each offers something special whether you are after a long leisurely lunch, sundowners, sandcastles or getting active on the water embarking in a number of different watersport activities. It is for all these reasons that a villa holiday in our opinion offers the best of both worlds allowing you to dip in and out depending on the time of day and your personal preferences. Of course in order to make this all possible, car hire is an essential ingredient to make the most of your stay.

Ibiza offers some great activities suitable for adults and children alike. There are numerous beach clubs dotted around the island, a couple of which feature a kids club, should you need it. These can be very busy in the peak summer season, so it is advisable to pre-book at least 7-10 days before travel.
A car is by far the best way to see Ibiza and truly a unique way to see the more remote, but authentic parts of Ibiza. The island has an abundance of beaches, pretty coves and quaint villages to visit. To explore further, take the ferry to Formentera and visit the smaller islands, hidden coves and swim in one of numerous turquoise bays.
