Tashkent in a Nutshell

Stroll through Khast Imam Square – the religious heart of Tashkent. The Square consists of some of the city’s most important monuments, such as Barak Khan Madrassah, Tillya Sheykh Mosque and Kafal Shashi mausoleum.

Right at the centre of the city is the Independence Square, where key government buildings and administrative institutions are located.You will also visit the Amir Temur Square, named after the commander and founder of the huge XIX century empire. Right in the centre of the square is a bronze figure of the beloved Amir Temur on a reared horse.

Built between 1942 and 1947, the Alisher Navoi Theatre Square was a key cultural centre where operas and ballets were performed to a capacity of 1,400 spectators. Finally, the Museum of Applied Arts hosts over 7,000 samples of handmade embroidery, jewellery, carpets and other craftsman works from the 19th century up to present day Uzbek.
