Cape Town is a year-round destination. The summers are generally warm and dry, while winters tend to be wet and cool, the rains brought on by fierce north westerly gales. Neither season experiences extremes of temperature, thanks to prevailing winds. Summer (Nov-Mar) is the hottest with temperatures 20-40°C. Mid season (Apr, May, Sep, Oct) temps between 10-30°C. Winter (from June- Aug) is the low season with temps 0-25°C.

Manna Bay occupies a prime spot in Cape Town, with a gate leading directly from the garden into Table Mountain National Park, and enviable views across the mountain and city. This is a modern, boutique hotel with just eight stunning suites, each individual in its style and design. Each room and suite has a personality of its own, from the minimalist tones of the Black & White room, the cherry blossom wallpaper of the Oriental room, and the flamboyant decor of the Versailles suite. All are well equipped with all of the mod con's you'd expect, from air conditioning to plush bedding and stunning views.

Manna Bay is in the Oranjezicht district of the city, at the top of a steep hill. It's just five minutes by taxi or transfer to the hip shops, restaurants and bars of Bree and Kloof streets, and another few minutes along to the V&A Waterfront.

There are eight rooms at Manna Bay, seven luxury rooms and one suite. The Explorer room enjoys stunning floor to ceiling windows to take in the views of Signal Hill, the city and ocean, and the decor reflects the pioneering explorers of times gone by. The Black & White room is the most contemporary of the rooms, with a private balcony and minimalist furnishings. The Oriental room is located right under Table Mountain with a private balcony overlooking the koi pond. The Persian room contrasts chocolate walls and crisp white linens, with shutters overlooking the pool and Table Mountain. The Orchid room has eponymous floral furnishings and art prints, and is situated on the upper level, with large sliding doors leading onto a wooden balcony with outdoor sofas and mountain views. Pom Pom has a private courtyard garden with its own plunge pool and its garden is frequented by a local porcupine! The Flamingo room has a beautiful free-standing bathtub and a balcony overlooking the mountain. Last but by no means least, the Versailles suite is the premier suite at the hotel, with opulent furnishings, a four poster mirror bed, and flamboyant printed wallpaper, a private sitting room and dressing room and spacious outdoors terrace with four poster daybed.


Children aged 12 years and older are welcome at the hotel and the Black & White room and Orchid room can be sold as a two-bedroom family suite. Family groups also have the option of booking the entire property on an exclusive use basis, a superb option for a special occasion.
