Description

Situated in downtown Chiclayo in northern Peru, Casa Andina Select is a large, modern hotel and the best choice in the city. Centrally located, it is a great base from which to explore the Royal Tombs of Sipan and other archaeological sites.

The Casa Andina Select Chiclayo is a large, modern hotel set at the heart of this northern Peruvian city. With 130 simple but modern rooms and suites, an outdoor swimming pool, gym, spa and sauna, it is a welcome retreat from days spent exploring the archaeological treasures that are so abundant here in the Lambayeque province of Peru.

The hotel’s restaurant, La Plaza Bar & Grill, serves up a fusion of traditional Peruvian fare (from ceviche to lomo saltado) and European dishes designed to suit all tastes. Enjoy cocktails at the bar, perhaps sampling the local Peruvian delicacy, a Pisco Sour. Just a short 20-minute drive from the hotel is the superb Museum of the Royal Tombs of Sipan, housing many of the treasures discovered when the Lord of Sipan’s tomb was discovered in 1987 and one of the most impressive museums in Peru. Other pre-Incan archaeological sites are abundant in the area, including the 4,000-year-old Temple of Ventarron and the Huaca Rajada.
