The best time to visit climate-wise is in spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November), when the daytime temperatures aren't too extreme. Winter can be cold and rainy in some areas.
This lovely week-long itinerary takes in key highlights of Israel. From the Holy City of Jerusalem through the biblical Sea of Galilee where Jesus Christ performed his miracles, to the bustling beachfront of Tel Aviv.
Upon arrival, you will be driven to Jerusalem. Make a visit to Tower of David and enjoy a panoramic view of the Holy Land from the Mount of Olives. In the evening, you may enjoy an optional Sound & Light Show at the Citadel (closed on Friday).
Enjoy an orientation tour through Old Jerusalem. Walk the same path as Jesus Christ through Jewish Quarter, Wailing Wall, Dome of the Rock, Way of the Cross, Church of the Holy Sepulchre and other major highlights of the Old City.
The next day, make a day excursion to Bethlehem, birthplace of Jesus Christ. Make a brief photo stop at Jericho, the world's oldest city.
Your time in Jerusalem also includes a day trip to Masada and Qumran Cave where the famous Dead Sea Scroll was discovered. Take a cable car up to Masada Fortress.
From Jerusalem, depart through Nazareth's Basilica of the Anuncion, before arriving at Tiberias, an Israeli city at the shore of Sea of Galilee. If you don't mind a longer drive, an optional visit to Megiddo National Park can be arranged at additional cost.
During your time in Sea of Galilee, see highlights such as Tabgha, Mount of Beautitudes and the coastal village of Capernaum. Optional supplement includes a trip to Yardenit Baptismal Site. For those with more time, we recommend adding another night to make a trip to the beautiful Golan Heights.
On your way back from Tiberias, make a stop at the underground Crusader City of Acre, the magnificent Baha'i Gardens in Haifa and the archaeological remains of Caesarea.
Arriving in Tel Aviv, you can enjoy an orientation tour of Old Jaffa, Shuk Ha Camel Market and enjoy the lively atmosphere of Neve Tzedek at Central Tel Aviv before transferring to airport for your night flight home.
For those who enjoy relaxation, we recommend adding a couple more days to soak in the warm sun in the legendary beaches of Tel Aviv.
