Great combination of bustling Kathmandu and the relaxed city of Pokhara
Fantastic array of adrenaline pumping sports in Pokhara
Brilliant introduction to the history and culture of Nepal
Nepal has a Monsoonal climate with four main seasons. Autumn and spring are the two most favourable seasons for visiting Nepal. Autumn (September to early December) brings in clear weather with sunny days and warm nights. Spring (March to May) with occasional rain falls. From June to September, is the monsoon season. Uncomfortable time to visit as the climate of Nepal at this time of year brings about hot weather and rain falls almost every day.
This compact itinerary lets you experience the two key cities of Nepal, from the frenetic energy of Kathmandu to the calm and serene atmosphere of Pokhara.
Start your trip in Kathmandu, a city with so many sides and plenty to explore. Your private guide will lead you through the bazaars and narrow alleyways full of architectural marvels. You’ll also have the chance to visit some of the most venerated Buddhist monuments in the world, including the Swayambhunath Buddhist Stupa.
From Kathmandu you will take a short flight to Pokhara, the gateway to the Annapurna Range. Here we suggest taking a couple of days to explore the beautiful area surrounding Phewa Lake and if you are a true adventurist there are plenty of opportunities to get your pulse racing with zip lining and some of the best paragliding in the world. If you are interested in history, we can arrange a visit to the Gurkha Memorial Museum, concentrating on the incredible story of the Gurkha soldier. Of course, with easy access to the Annapurna range, we can also arrange some lovely day hikes into this magical region.
Your final night will be spent back in Kathmandu, which you will again reach by a short flight from Pokhara. There are a whole host of brilliant restaurants and great night bazaars that we can suggest for you to finish off your trip perfectly.
