Description

Argos in Cappadocia is a picturesque boutique hotel that blends modern luxury amongst carefully restored tunnels and caves. Set in the small town of Uchisar, on the highest peak of Cappadocia, in central Turkey.

Having been through several incarnations over the last 2,000 years: a monastery, a lodging house for Silk Road caravans, a linseed oil factory and now a hip hotel. Argos in Cappadocia bears testament to the civilizations of ancient Turkish times. Located in the heart of Cappadocia on the site of an ancient monastery in Old Uçhisar Village, Argos in Cappadocia has carefully restored the remains of historical dwellings, underground tunnels and caves to offer our guests not only an unsurpassed place to stay but a unique perspective from which to view this magical land.

The hotel has been designed to heighten simple pleasures; the rooms are large with bear stoned walls and muted tones creating a calm, peaceful ambience. The food served is exquisite; dishes have rich cultural and historic heritage and sourced from local ingredients where possible. It is not just your taste buds that will be satisfied, but the beautiful aromas and presentation of the food will add to you overall dining experience. Dinner is served in the main restaurant, however, if you feel peckish during the day take a seat by the fire in the lounge and enjoy one of the tempting snacks on offer.

The surrounding landscape, which has been formed through volcanic eruptions millions of years ago, sees stunning sunsets throughout the year and the seasonal colour changes provide breathtaking views. The positioning of the hotel is an idyllic spot from which to take in views across the terrain and most notably with a cocktail in hand, on the terrace at dusk.

Part of the unique charm of this property is the way in which it transports you into another world and era. Its historic tunnels and cellars are magical, and the wine cellar is host to vintage wine which is gently maturing waiting for the arrival of guests.

The Argos hotel in Cappadocia is seriously special! A traditional cave hotel with luxury design touches that really make you feel that you are staying in a unique, one of a kind hotel. The views from the hotel are outstanding and there is something new to see from each different area and angle that you look from. The service here was fantastic from the moment we checked in to the (very sad) moments of checkout. This is truly an experience and shows just how diverse and amazing Turkey is.
