Best time to Visit

Good time to visit

Average time to visit

For a small country, Jordan has an extraordinary range of climates. The best time to visit climate-wise is in spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November), when the daytime temperatures aren't too extreme. April is probably the best month, when temperatures are warm and wildflowers are in bloom. March can be cold and rainy in the north but is balmy by the Gulf of Aqaba and the Dead Sea.

Description

The Fairmont Amman is the most glamorous hotel in Jordan's capital. The property features a range of fantastic facilities, as well as a diverse choice of restaurants. Although fairly corporate, this a great option for those seeking a luxury city hotel.

The Fairmont Amman is in a great location, within easy reach of the airport and only a short drive from the city's vibrant downtown area and historical sites, such as the Citadel and Roman Theatre. Whilst much of your time in Amman will be spent out exploring the city, whilst you are at the hotel, there are some brilliant facilities to enjoy, including a fabulous rooftop pool and inviting spa.

There are 317 rooms and suites, which have been luxuriously appointed, and offer great views over the city and surrounding hills. The rooms are delightfully spacious, starting at 42 square metres, and combine contemporary design with tasteful, classic decor.

The Fairmont has a wide variety of excellent dining venues, including Nasim, which offers great local Jordanian options, Salt, which has a delicious grill menu, and Tsuki which serves some of the finest Sushi options in the city.

Childcare

The Fairmont Amman welcomes children, but as it is popular with business travellers as well as leisure travellers, it does have quite a grown up and formal feel. However there are interconnecting rooms for families, and there is a Kid's Club and children's pool.

Facilities

With seven different food and beverage outlets, a fabulous rooftop pool, its own shopping arcade, a fully equipped gym and welcoming Willow Stream Spa, The Fairmont does not fall short when it comes to facilities. The Willow Stream Spa in particular is one of the property's most stand-out features, as it offers a Moroccan hamman, Dead Sea Pool, Ice fountain and Dead Sea mud room.

Activities

During your stay in Amman it is possible to do guided walking tours of the city, where you can visit the key historical sites including the Citadel and Roman Theatre. It is also possible to head north of Amman, where you can visit the amazing Roman ruins at Jerash. The Fairmont Amman is only a short drive from downtown Amman and Rainbow Street, which is where you will find the most buzzing restaurants and bars.
