All year round destination, however in Spring and Autumn (October/November and March/April) are most pleasant. The peak season is January through February when Argentineans and Brazilians are on holiday. December through March is summer. This is the hottest and the most humid time of year. The winter months are June through to August, this is when rain is mostly likely and the temperatures range from lows of 10°C to high of 23°C.

Conveniently located in a quiet jungle setting between downtown Puerto Iguazu and the Iguazu Falls National Park, La Aldea de la Selva is a stylish rustic retreat with 24 air-conditioned en-suite cabanas connected by wooden walkways. Interiors are sparse but attractively finished with local wood and teak flooring that lead to wide wraparound balconies with hammocks and wooden rails that you can lean on and almost touch the rainforest. Bathrooms are immaculate and luxurious, with tiled walls and gleaming-white wash bowls and tubs. In-room facilities are excellent, and include extremely comfortable beds, a 32-inch plasma TV and complimentary Wi-Fi.
La Aldea de la Selva’s restaurant El Nido, reached by a raised wooden walkway, serves up tasty dishes with great views of the Parana rainforest, and many of the ingredients come from the lodge’s own organic herb and vegetable gardens. There is also an outside quincho, or barbecue area, and bar excellent for enjoying a sundowner. Relaxation opportunities are plentiful. Take a dip in the lovely three-tiered main swimming pool, book a massage in the small spa, or just sit on your balcony with a good pair of binoculars and watch the birds and other jungle creatures coming and going.
At La Aldea De La Selva Lodge, a wide range of exciting activities are available. Naturally the Falls will be the main focus for visitors, either on foot, by boat or from the air, but you can also take a guided trek through the rainforest, go abseiling and zip-wiring, head out on the Iguazu River in a kayak, or visit the bird park on the Brazilian side of the Falls.
