Luang Prabang Walking Tour

After breakfast head out on an atmospheric half-day walking tour. The day begins with a visit to the Royal Palace Museum, which gives a good overview of Luang Prabang's varied history. From here the tour continues to some of Luang Prabangs hidden secrets, walking down the quiet and dusty back lanes and streets. Along the way stop at Wat Chomkhong, which is known for its intricate decorative carvings. The whole area contains a beautiful blend of old French colonial buildings and traditional old Lao houses, which you will have time to admire, along with a stop at the small but charming Wat Phapai. The final visit of the day is the magnificent Wat Xiengthong, with its tiered roof sweeping low to the ground, representing the classical Luang Prabang style. It's one of the finest of its kind in Southeast Asia.
