Nowadays it attracts skiers from all over the world who come to pit their wits against the mighty steep descents and the off-piste powder fields. The most famous these of which is the 20 km long Vallée Blanche - a rite of passage for skiers looking to tick off one of the most legendary runs in the world. The ski area itself is quite spread out covering five different mountains and stretches up the vast valley to include the village of Argentière which is the access point for Les Grand Montets. The majority of the terrain is suited to good intermediates and experts; there are a few good beginner areas but these are a little fragmented.
The hotel makes accessing these different areas easy by offering a shuttle service for guests and will arrange pick ups at the end of the ski day.
