With a prime location in the centre of Chamonix, the hotel offers a haven of calm which is reflected in the elegant design of the 40 luxurious rooms and suites.

The interior is a creative triumph from an inspired collaboration between the Taittinger family and renowned interior designer Sybille de Margerie. When it comes to skiing, Chamonix has a reputation that precedes it as one of the oldest and most famous ski resorts in the world; having played host to the first ever Winter Olympics in 1924.

Nowadays it attracts skiers from all over the world who come to pit their wits against the mighty steep descents and the off-piste powder fields. The most famous these of which is the 20 km long Vallée Blanche - a rite of passage for skiers looking to tick off one of the most legendary runs in the world. The ski area itself is quite spread out covering five different mountains and stretches up the vast valley to include the village of Argentière which is the access point for Les Grand Montets. The majority of the terrain is suited to good intermediates and experts; there are a few good beginner areas but these are a little fragmented.

The hotel makes accessing these different areas easy by offering a shuttle service for guests and will arrange pick ups at the end of the ski day.
