Golden Monkeys are native to the Mgahinga National Park area due to the high altitude forests that they are adapted to live in. They are an endangered species that you track in the same way as mountain gorillas. Treks take place in the mornings and are a great way to spend a day in the Mgahinga National Park. The monkeys are lively creatures that leap from tree to tree, often too fast to photograph! They are very playful and accepting of human visits and watching them scamper about is highly enjoyable.
