Today, we will explore the Yading Nature Reserve. The reserve is home to three sacred Tibetan mountains, including Chenresig or Avalokitesvara (6,032 metres), Jambeyang or Manjusri (5,958 metres), as well as Chanadorje or Vajrapani (5,958 metres). The three sacred peaks represent compassion, wisdom and energy. As such, the local inhabitants believed in making a pilgrimage (kora) around the three mountains.

At 4,800 metres above sea level, Milk Lake is situated on the valley of Yang Mai Yong with its famous blue snow-colored water. Finally, set on a stunning glacier setting is the Five Colour Lake, which takes its name due to the light refraction which reflects the colour into the lake.
