Swan Lake & Kaidu River

The great prairie of Bayanbulak boasts large verdant grass with plenty of sheeps and livestocks.

We will visit the Swan Lake, an interconnected wetland which attracted various rare birds and swans at different times of the year. While sightings are not always guaranteed as it is a high-altitude breeding ground and depends on the wildlife behaviour, the sight remains beautiful to witness.

Afterwards, we continue to Kaidu River, which serves as an important water soruce for the Uyghur people. Flowing from the southern slopes of Tian Shan mountain into Lake Bosten, one of its most picturesque spots is at the Nine Turns & Eighteen Bends.
