Fenghuang
With exceptionally well-preserved ancient town where the ethnic minorities of Miao and Tujia called home, the wooden stilt houses of Fenghuang is an impressive cultural fet and had been added into the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008.
Often portrayed in traditional Chinese paintings, Fenghuang represents quintessential Chinese villages prior to the industrialization, with mountain slopes and Tuo Jiang River further adding into the beauty of the city.
