Best time to Visit
Good time to visit
Average time to visit
Go in low season (March-June and October-December) to avoid the crowds and the heat. It can be quite cool from July to August (usually in the low 20°C's). The hottest time is from December to February, when temperatures often reach 30°C and above and it can be humid with frequent short bursts of rain. This is also the busiest time of year (New Year is one big party). Weekends are also busier than weekdays here, particularly in Rio and Buzios.

Days 1-3: Iguazu Falls
Fly directly into Iguazu and transfer to your hotel. The Iguazu falls straddle the border between Argentina and Brazil and are buried deep within the jungle, surrounded by a series of wooden walkways which take you right into the spray of the water. The falls are made up of over 275 individual drops, and the pièce de résistance is the impressive Devil's Throat, which is the widest and most powerful section. Enjoy a tour with a private guide of the Argentine side which cover a vast area and explore the Brazilian falls at your leisure.
Accommodation: Loi Suites Iguazú Hotel (2 nights)
-
Days 3-6: Rio de Janeiro
Fly to Rio de Janeiro and soak in the samba beats of this vibrant city, discovering each of its colourful neighbourhoods, its addictive nightlife and its spectacular location. Enjoy a stroll along the walkways of Copacabana or Ipanema beaches and try to join in a game of football with the locals on the sand. A private tour has been included to take in Sugar Loaf Mountain and the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue, both of which guarantee fantastic views on a clear day!
Accommodation: Miramar by Windsor (3 nights)
-
Days 6-10: Buzios
Drive to Buzios for the final stop of your trip and some well deserved rest and relaxation in this lively coastal town, where upmarket bars and restaurants line the charming streets and come to life in the evenings. Buzios is home to numerous beaches, many of which are dotted with Ibiza-style club lounges. If you wish to explore further we recommend adding on a boat trip to head out to some more distant beaches and soak in this dramatic stretch of coastline. Return to Rio de Janeiro for your flight home.
