When it comes to kids clubs in Mauritius you really can’t go wrong. They all offer similar activities including crab hunting, baking, face and t-shirt painting, arts and crafts, quiet reading areas and for the older ones introductions to golf, fishing and tennis. As if that is not enough, I truly haven’t seen so many toys as I did going around Mauritius! To avoid too much confusion I have narrowed it down to my favourite three…

A great outdoor space with two heated pools consisting of a baby pool with a fun sprinkler overhead and a slightly deeper pool for older children. Both are protected with sunshades. There is a big lawn area to run around on and at the back you will find a vast sandy area to play in. Climb up the ladder and across the rope bridge to reach the playhouse! Dotted around the outside of the lawn you will also find the kitchen where you can make your very own pizza or cookies and have your lunch. Just beside the kitchen is a games room with tables for arts and crafts and even a stage for all the little stars! Activities on offer for the more adventurous include Zumba classes, water skiing, zip lining, golf and windsurfing!

Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita

Walking in through the ‘Hobbit Village’ gate you will find a magical scene with thatched roofs, hobbit doors and even hobbit sized chairs and tables! The club consists of a large sandpit full of toys to keep you busy, a wonderful shaded pool with a gradual entrance making it perfect for little ones. Around the perimeter you will find different areas including a kitchen where you can bake Dodo cookies and have your lunch, an amphitheater for you to perform shows with all your new friends, a room to watch movies or do some arts and crafts, with no shortage of art supplies let your imagine run wild, look out for the big green dragon! There is also a dedicated babies room with plenty of soft toys to play with or have a nap if all the holidaying is getting too much! Make sure you go and visit Apollo, Caesar, Hercules and Venus the in-house tortoises.

Walking up to a shaded terrace we witnessed children taking part in some arts and crafts with an abundance of glitter! Inside the club is so spacious with a forest theme painted over the walls. You can find a pool table, an extensive book collection, giant games with equally giant dice and plenty of beanbags to chill out on. Going through to the back there is a lovely lawn area with plenty of shade, swings and a seesaw, even child sized sun loungers around the shallow pool!

Activities include cooking classes where you will bake cakes and biscuits while totally looking the part in a chef jacket and hat. However, if being a chef is not the career you are looking for maybe take a look in the dress up box! There is also glass bottom boat excursions, tennis lessons and small line fishing. The lagoon is very quiet so great for learning to water-ski or windsurf. After such a busy day, why not make the most of a visit from one of the spa therapists and treat yourself to a hand or foot massage? In the evening an outdoor cinema is set up where you can enjoy Walt Disney Classics with ice cream and popcorn.
