Gobustan Rock Art & Mud Volcanoes

Lying just outside from Baku’s towering metropolis are rock engravings which dates back to the earliest days of human civilizations. Gobustan National Park (UNESCO) preserves more than 6,000 engravings over 5,000-40,000 years old. Not far away from Gobustan, be pleasantly surprised with the alien-like landscape of the gurgling subterranean Mud Volcanoes. We would suggest bringing a pair of spare shoes – muddy boots are often unavoidable.
