Teck Heok Koh

When I was a student, an exchange program brought me to 7 ASEAN countries and Japan and that was what made me fall in love with travel.

The world is very big and after 2 decades I am still in this industry and still travelling.

Now that I work in the travel concierge department that gives me even more opportunity to see the world. Go with an open mind and you will love the country that you are visiting.

Travel nuggets

  • If you can, try to visit the Egyptian Museum on a private basis. There are so much to see and it is special to see it without a big crowd.

  • A must if you are in Moscow - have a meal in White Rabbit and try their amazing degustation menu.

  • If you are going to Madagascar, try to get on a charter flight where you save a lot of time on the road and get to see so much more.

My hot picks

Four Seasons Hotel Lion Palace, St Petersburg, Russia

Though it's a historic building, the maintenance, the comfort that goes into the room design makes it very grand and yet not loud. I especially loved the rooms on the1st floor. High ceilings and a view of St Isaac’s Cathedral right from your bedroom.

Sanctuary Sun Boat IV, Nile, Egypt

Food and service people onboard is way much better then those on the ground. Though the cabins are small but after putting your cloths

&Beyond Sossusvlei Desert Lodge, NamibRand Nature Reserve, Sossusvlei, Namibia

Outstanding location with a desert view, offers interesting activities (like star gazing) and the food is magnificent. The Chef can even make Asian food which taste just like food.

It looks like you are in the USA
