The Algarve has a mild climate with more than 300 days of sunshine a year. The climate in the Algarve is generally warm and sunny in May with the risk of the odd shower of rain. Sometimes it can be cool in the evenings. By June the weather generally settles in a pattern of long hot sunny days and balmy evenings especially in July and August. Rain is unlikely but it can happen from time to time. Throughout the summer months it can be windy especially during the afternoon. June and September are particularly pleasurable months.

Each of the fifteen rooms and suites offer expansive and comfortable accommodation with a fresh and contemporary feel. Each of the garden suites provide guests a pretty little private sun trap and the top suite an expansive courtyard terrace complete with outdoor rainforest shower and jacuzzi.
The hotel has a small restaurant serving modernised Portuguese classics, making the most of the hotels expansive herb and vegetable garden and the areas abundance of freshly caught seafood. Lunch and dinner are served daily except for Saturday night, when guests are actively encouraged to make the most of the area's local restaurants, with the owners updating their recommendations blackboard on a daily basis.
There is a lovely salt-water heated swimming pool in the grounds along with the Fazenda Nova "beach", a sand-filled sun trap complete with luxurious cabanas. Guests can take a walk in the expansive grounds of the property and amongst olive trees and herb gardens.
The eastern corner of the Algarve is perfect for those looking to get off-the-beaten-track and gain a taste of the real Portugal. The nearby towns of Tavira and Olhao are packed with pretty Moorish style houses, markets and authentic bars and restaurants, a far cry from the towns of the central Algarve. There are plenty of beaches within easy reach of Fazenda Nova. For a truly special experience, catch a ferry from Tavira to Ilha de Tavira, a 14km stretch of glorious white sandy beach, likened by many to those of the Caribbean.
All fifteen of the rooms and suites offer guests a modern, spacious and comfortable retreat. Huge polished concrete bathrooms and king size beds are the norm, with the garden suites each featuring a private terrace area.
Children are only accepted at Fazenda Nova during specific dates in the school holidays.
