Singapore Office

Growing up in a nomadic household, traveling is a rite of passage for me. Born in Taiwan and raised in Singapore, I completed my tertiary education in the United States, where I caught the holiday-planning bug.

For me, the grandeur and power of the amazing Victoria Falls in Africa is a sight to behold. Peering off the top of the falls whilst swimming in the relative safety of the Angel’s Pool is definitely the top of my travel experiences. For those seeking a more relaxing holiday, the winelands near Cape Town provide a good alternative to the adrenaline rush of the continent’s many animal-watching experiences. After all, what better than the Cape’s good food and amazing wine to round off a perfect African safari.

Travel nuggets

  • Allow yourself a few more nights when chasing the Northern Lights. Moonlight, cloud cover and many other factors will come into play. Patience goes a long way! And do not forget to bring along a good camera and a tripod.

  • When visiting Machu Picchu, challenge yourself to a hike up the neighbouring Huayna Picchu, where you will be rewarded with a bird’s eye view of the famous Inca ruin. Book the permit for the earliest slot for a more pleasant climb up.

  • Book an ice-caving excursion when in Iceland. The caves form during the harsh Icelandic winters and collapses before summer arrives, so timing is very important. Toast to the amazing experience with a shot of Brennivín, Iceland’s signature liquor.
