I was lucky enough to begin my love for travel at a very young age, every year my family and I would go on Family vacations to destinations all over North America such as Hawaii, Mexico, National Parks and many more.

My passion for marine life and animals sparked the beginning of my adult travel journey. In high school I became a certified diver and went on my first scuba diving trip to the Virgin Islands. After, I continued to dive in places like Honduras, Fiji, Solomon Islands, and the Caribbean.

In my twenties, I traveled around the United States, Costa Rica, Mexico, Canada and Europe. I am an incredibly active and adventurous person who is always up for the next adventure in life.

I have always had a fascination with Africa and its Wildlife, since a very young age, I was reading about Africa and watching any documentaries I could get my hands on. I have always found Africa to be a magical place containing unique biodiversity like no other.

My first trip to Africa was to Tanzania in East Africa, and it was the most magical trip I have ever been on. I did everything from scuba diving in the Indian Ocean, Swimming with wild Dolphins, fishing on the Rufiji River in Selous Game reserve, fly camping on a river bed, a hot air balloon safari over Ruaha National Park, to witnessing The Great Wildebeest Migration in the Northern Serengeti. Africa has a lifetime of things to offer and once I visited there, I knew it was just the beginning. Africa will leave you wondering how quickly you can go back and wanting to see and experience more.

I have always had a joy of planning memorable trips for myself and others who travel, and this transferred into why I decided to work in the travel industry. I am passionate about the places I have been, and I love to share this passion with others and help them create their own “Trips of a lifetime.”

Travel nuggets

  • Be sure to go fly camping for a night while visiting Selous Game Reserve. Sleeping under the African night sky on a river bed is certainly a memory never to forget.

  • Make sure that binoculars are at the top of your packing list. They don’t need to be the most expensive ones, they just need to be able to have a steady focus and light weight. You will be able to see so many more things than you would with the naked eye.

  • The sounds of the bush at night are thrilling, so thrilling that bringing some ear plugs will be useful to get a full night’s rest.

  • Make sure to do a walking safari if the camps you are staying at, provides them. They are a unique experience to that of a driving safari. It allows you to see small details that you can’t see from a vehicle, all you need is your own two feet.

  • Utilize the small aircraft flights to learn about the landscape from a unique bird’s eye view. Bring a map to look at while you fly over specific regions.

  • Utilize your safari guide. The guides on safari are very experienced, passionate people, who know so much about the area and animals around. They will have all the information you will need and are more than happy to share their knowledge with you.

  • Bring a travel journal to write about your journey. Possibly, challenge yourself to write down the different animals you see through out your safari.
