Best time to Visit
Good time to visit
Average time to visit
The best time to visit Etosha is from April to September as the temperature is tolerably cool, especially at night. From May to September the increasingly thirsty animals gather at waterholes, making it the best time to go to Etosha for game viewing. Summer is best time to travel to Etosha for bird watching as migratory birds (both intra-African and Palaearctic) flock into the park's many habitats after the summer rains.

Description
The three Villa Musharas are situated just eight kilometres from the Von Lindequist gate to the east of the world famous Etosha National Park. The villas are designed to work well for both couples and families travelling.
Villa Mushara is located on the edge of the famous Etosha National Park. Great attention has been paid to the décor of the villas. The name Mushara itself derives from the Purple Pod Terminalia tree, which grows in abundance in the lodge grounds and the surrounding area.
Villa Mushara consists of three open plan exclusive use colonial style villas, which offer the privacy and comfort of a private villa just a short walk from Mushara Lodge. Guests can either enjoy the complete privacy of their villa or make use of the facilities at the main lodge. Two of the villas have one en-suite bedroom which has a large four poster bed and also has a large lounge and dining area. The third villa is a family villa and has 2 bedrooms, one double bedroom for the parents and a smaller twin room for children. Each of the villas come with its own staff, guide and driver. Meals can be served in the villa or at Mushara Lodge.
From Villa Mushara you are eight kilometers from the Von Lindequist Gate and guests have the chance to take game drives into Etosha National Park and have sundowners overlooking the dramatic Etosha Pan - the two one bedroom villas share a game drive vehicle. The villas each have their own plunge pool, perfect to cool off during the heat of the day.
Childcare
The Villa Mushara are family friendly villas - there is one with two bedrooms and two villas with one bedroom, however they are able to add two extra beds onto the villas. They also have costs available for young children.
Activities
Game activities from Villa Mushara are game drives in 4x4's into Etosha National Park and have sundowners overlooking the dramatic Etosha Pan. Game drives are at an additional cost as many guest are self drive.
Reviews
Louisa Verney (Staff)
I loved Villa Mushara, the villas have an open plan spacious feel. I think they would work well for both families or a couple looking to escape and have their own space. I also liked that they are a short walk from the lodge so if you wanted to experience the friendly lodge atmosphere. You also have the flexibility to chose whether you want to self drive in Etosha National Park (if you have arrived in your own hire car) or have a guide to take you out and explore the park.
