Itinerary
This is a fantastic holiday combining a luxury safari destination in Madikwe Game Reserve with a beautiful remote island in Mozambique, offering great value for money and a wonderful safari and beach combination.
Fly to Johannesburg, where on arrival you will be driven up to the Madikwe Game Reserve. The road transfer takes approximately 3.5-hours. The Madikwe Game Reserve is a beautiful reserve packed full of animals, offering a superb Big 5 game experience.
Makanyane Lodge is a fabulous property, offering luxurious rooms all glass fronted so you have amazing views from your bed! Open your doors in the mornings to the sights and sounds of the bush. There is a beautiful pool to enjoy during the heat of the day. The staff here will bend over backwards to make sure you are well looked after with plenty of extra touches throughout your stay to make you feel very special! Included in your stay at Makanyane will be all your meals, drinks and game activities.
From the Madikwe, you will be driven back to Johannesburg in time to check in for your flight to Vilanculous in Mozambique. On arrival, you will be taken by boat to Anantara Bararuto Island Lodge. If you are looking for a beautiful island resort hotel, this could not be a better option. Set on a magical unspoilt setting in the middle of the Bazaruto archipelago, the hotel is on its own private island.
