Nepal has a Monsoonal climate with four main seasons. Autumn and spring are the two most favourable seasons for visiting Nepal. Autumn (September to early December) brings in clear weather with sunny days and warm nights. Spring (March to May) with occasional rain falls. From June to September, is the monsoon season. Uncomfortable time to visit as the climate of Nepal at this time of year brings about hot weather and rain falls almost every day.
This fast paced itinerary is a great introduction to Nepal, allowing you to experience all the highlights of the country including Kathmandu, a fantastic trek with the backdrop of spectacular views and time to recharge in town of Pokhara.
Kathmandu is the main entry point for Nepal and you will start your trip here, uncovering a treasure trove of artistic relics and a city that is home to some of the most revered Buddhist sites in the world. We suggest that with your guide you take the first day to aquaint yourself with the intracies of the city and take some time to explore Kathmandu Durbar Square, the historical centre of the city.
After catching a short flight to Pokhara, today the real adventure begins as you set off for your two-night trek where you will be surrounded by the most spectacular views of the Annapurna Range. Today’s trek will just a short three-hour trek to Gurung Village, allowing you to acclimatise and find your feet. Here you’ll have a chance of uninterrupted views of the sacred and unclimbed Fishtail Mountain, Annapurna South and Annapurna 1.
Today, the walk continues through beautiful and unspoilt villages as well as subtropical forests where you are likely to see fruit orchards and beautiful rhododendrons and magnolias. You will have the chance to experience local Nepalese life along the way and if interested, pick up a souvenir from the Tibetan traders that live in these villages.
Today will be the final day on your trek as you make your way back to Pokhara, descending through wooded hillsides to the fertile valley floor full of farmland and rural life. Your final morning will offer some spectacular views of the entire Annapurna range and we recommend rising early and suggest for keen photographers to rise early to capture this serene landscape or for those that want to be more active you can enjoy some local walks around Dhampus before setting off to Pokhara.
Pokhara is known for its breath-taking scenery and is the perfect spot to end your trip, allowing you to be as active or relaxed as you like. There is a plethora of adventure activities on offer and for those that just want relax and recharge then you can simply soak in the beautiful view of the serene lake and surrounding mountains whilst you check out some of the many restaurants on offer.
In order to make the international flight out of Nepal as easy as possible we suggest including one final night in Kathmandu, which you will reach with just a short internal flight from Pokhara. On departure your guide will drive you to the airport in order to connect to your flight home.
The interactive and personalised ceremony will be narrated in English or other European language throughout and will be held at Shyalpa Tenzin Monastery by His Eminence Shyalpa Tenzing Rinpoche. Ideal for a wedding blessing, anniversary or even a birthday
