Itinerary

From the tranquil cloud forest of Bajos del Toro to dense jungle and views of endless ocean, this honeymoon combines romantic beach hideaways with luxurious rainforest lodges to offer Costa Rica at its most wild, most beautiful, and most memorable.

  1. Fly to San Jose

  2. Days 1-1: Bajos del Toro, Costa Rica

Arrive in San Jose and escape the city, heading straight out into the lush and verdant countryside of Bajos del Toro, the perfect place to unwind after a flight and a great introduction to the Costa Rican way of life. El Silencio is a luxury eco-hideaway set in a 500-acre private reserve, amongst cloud forest and waterfalls that offers the utmost privacy. Wake up to birdsong, wander the reserve’s nature trails, enjoy views at the yoga deck or simply spend time relaxing in the lodge’s sumptuous spa before your adventure begins.

Accommodation: El Silencio Lodge & Spa (1 nights)

  3. Days 2-5: Golfo Dulce, Costa Rica

Feeling refreshed, private transfer back to San Jose where you’ll catch a short flight to Puerto Jimenez. From here continue on to the Golfo Dulce, one of the countries best preserved and most bio-diverse places, for a stay at the fabulous Playa Cativo Lodge. Playa Cativo is secluded, surrounded by jungle and offers spectacular views out to the water from the comfort of luxurious rooms that feel very private. There is a plethora of fascinating and fun excursions on offer so you decide how active you want to be. You have the freedom to explore the self-guided trails that surround this remote lodge at your own pace as well as complimentary use of the kayaks, stand up paddle boards and snorkeling gear so as to explore the bay and become acquainted with resident spotted dolphins!

    Accommodation: Playa Cativo (3 nights)

  4. Days 5-9: Uvita, Costa Rica

Your final stop brings you to the wonderful Kura Design Villas, a hideaway with breathtaking high-design villas nestled into the hillside with sweeping views over the jungle to the Pacific Ocean. Kura is the perfect place to indulge your senses; if you’re not relaxing in a hammock, taking a dip in the infinity pool or relaxing at the spa, the nearby off-the-beaten track beaches are great to explore a short drive away, as well as surrounding trails in the rainforest. In season guests can also see whales migrating up the coast.
