This epic adventure, ideal for families, begins with the bright lights of Las Vegas where you can see a spectacular Cirque du Soleil show, stroll along the Strip to see the famous bright lights, and from here visit the magnificent Grand Canyon, which will be the first and largest of the canyons you'll visit on this trip. On your second day in Las Vegas, you'll admire this world wonder from above with an unforgettable helicopter ride. You will have the chance to step onto the canyon floor and gaze up at the sheer vertical mile of rock on either side - trust us when we say you'll certainly be awe-struck at this natural beauty, just outside the busyness of Las Vegas.
After three nights in the city, it's time to head into the real wild wild west. A two and a half hour drive will take you to one of the most breathtaking locations in Utah; Zion National Park. You will spend the next three nights amidst a vast desert landscape, surrounded by green cacti and rolling plains. During the day you'll explore the less visited paths of the park, with a guide or without, and chose from an abundance of activities. Go hiking in the canyons, ride horseback across the desert or unleash your inner thrill-seeker and go canyoneering. At night, enjoy a delicious homecooked meal around the campfire before retreating to stargaze from your private decking. Glamping under the stars is an experience you and your loved ones will never forget.
The adventure continues as you drive north via Bryce Canyon to the wonderful Sundance Mountain Resort. Robert Redford's mountain hideaway is tucked away on the Wasatch Mountains and boasts a series of idyllic Western cabins, with raw nature at its doorstep. Spend your time exploring some of the most amazing mountain scenery, hiking stunning trails to the mountain peaks or rafting in the rivers. Get into the saddle of a horse or mountain bike to venture along miles of mountain and valley trails as you admire some of Utah's most untouched wilderness. You can also cast a line for trout in one of the world’s premier trout streams, or get creative in the art workshop making pottery or jewelry. Those who like to take life a little slower can wake with a yoga class at dawn or visit the Spa for an indulgent treatment.
After almost of week of thrilling adventure, you'll head to the sun-soaked coast of California where you can spend a few days relaxing and unwinding to the sound of gentle crashing waves. You'll stay at one of our favorite luxury hotels in Orange County; the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel. Family friendly yet oozing elegance and sophistication, the resort will cater for all your family's needs. For a day on the sand, the Beach Concierge will look after you well and the kids can roam free in the salty-sea air, or you can relax by the pool with a cocktail in hand while your little ones enjoy a fully serviced kids club. For more active families there's plenty to entertain, from surfing and paddle boarding, whale watching trips, and Los Angeles entertainment or Disneyland just one hour away.

When to go
California has a year-round climate. Summer (June - September) is the peak-tourist season, this is when the weather is hottest but beaches can be over crowded. January and February are the rainiest months. If you are visiting in May, June or July, watch out for the 'marine layer', a cloudy overcast, almost fog-like cloud which may affect the beach and first mile or so of the coastal strip, especially in the mornings.
