Botswana Delta Explorer and the Victoria Falls

Victoria Falls, Linyanti and Okavango Delta

An exciting safari combining Zambia and Botswana. Explore the spectacular Victoria Falls, staying on an island in the Zambezi River, before flying to Linyanti and Okavango Delta for a safari adventure, enjoying game drives, walking and boat safaris.

Explore Botswana's world renowned Okavango Delta, enjoying game drives, boat safaris, mokoro trips through the waterways and walking safaris, combined with time at a mobile tented camp in Linyanti to experience a very different area and its wildlife.

Your journey starts in Zambia at the mighty Victoria Falls, where you can spend time walking to viewpoints, or taking in an aerial view from a microlight or helicopter if you prefer. You will be staying at a beautiful lodge on an island in the Zambezi River, upriver from the Falls, the Islands of Siankaba. It's a peaceful retreat where you can watch kingfishers from the balcony of your room, enjoy sunset boat cruises along the river and dine beside the river listening to the hippos.

Cross over into Botswana and fly into the Linyanti wetlands, bordering the Chobe National Park. This area is rich in wildlife, with large herds of elephants, plenty of big cats and plains game including zebra, buffalo and kudu. You'll be staying in a mobile tented camp, Savute Under Canvas, offering a perfect mix of a back to basics experience with all the comforts you'll need, including hot showers, comfy beds and delicious meals. Explore with expert guides on game drives in the early morning and late afternoon.

After your explorations here, fly into the Okavango Delta to the Xudum concession, staying at a luxurious lodge overlooking a beautiful lagoon. This unspoiled concession boasts superb wildlife including leopard, wild dog, lion, elephant and red lechwe. Spend your days exploring the waterways in a mokoro or on a boat safari, perhaps stopping to enjoy some fishing, or traversing the islands on a game drive. Guided bush walks are a wonderful alternative to experience this beautiful area, too. Xudum Delta Lodge is a beautiful and luxurious lodge, making the perfect contrast to your previous stay at an authentic mobile camp. Enjoy the privacy of your deck and private plunge pool in between game drives, or experience a rooftop sleep-out one night.
