Insider's View

For a change of scenery from Barbados’s white sand beaches, visit the Andromeda Botanic Gardens, near to Bathsheba for an abundance of tropical plants

Barbados is known for its surf. Where the eastern coast meets the Atlantic Ocean the continuous swells make Barbados the perfect place to try this sport.

At the Cotton House on Mustique enjoy the house reef with an experienced guide showing you all the marine life

Mustique is such a chilled island, staff are genuinely happy and wanting you to have a good time. My recommendations are to visit Tobago Cays and swim with the turtles, enjoy a picnic down at lagoon beach and lunch or dinner at Firefly is a real must at least once during your stay

Escape to the beautiful island of Barbados with its English colonial history and luxurious hotels, then move on to the exclusive private island of Mustique for a relaxing, indulgent stay at a former sugar plantation - a perfect combination for a romantic getaway!

  2. Days 1-6: Barbados

Barbados is the heart of the Caribbean and offers beautiful beaches and an abundance of wonderful restaurants for those that like to dine out. The island has the most stunning beaches from the gentle waters on the west coast known as the platinum coast to the wider stretches of beach down south where the Atlantic and Caribbean Sea meet perfect for surfing.

    Accommodation: Cobblers Cove (5 nights)

  3. Days 6-11: St Vincent Grenadines

Your stay in Mustique begins after a 45 minute small aircraft flight from Barbados.

Oozing charm and exclusivity Mustique is just over two square miles in size and with a population of just 500 people it’s one of the most exclusive private islands in the Caribbean. The Cotton House is Mustique’s only hotel; a hidden gem where you’ll enjoy wonderful peace and quiet, relaxation and superb luxury. Carefully restored from the original 18th century coral warehouse and sugar mill, the hotel’s luxurious rooms are set in beautiful gardens. With tennis courts, a gorgeous spa, diving centre, pool and renowned restaurant on hand, you might be forgiven for never leaving the hotel grounds.

    Accommodation: Cotton House (5 nights)

  4. Fly home from Mustique (via Barbados)
