Bali offers the perfect choice for a family adventure. With a huge variety of activities to choose from and some of Indonesia’s most family-friendly hotels, Bali offers something for the whole family to enjoy.

  1. Days 1-6: Ubud

Start your adventure amongst the rice terraces and jungles of Ubud, a quaint and quirky town close to the Ayung River, with a backdrop of central Bali's volcanoes. There is so much to discover here, from visits to local medicine men and the colorful markets, to white water rafting, cycling through the paddy fields and learning how to cook authentic Indonesian cuisine at a cooking class.

Maybe you have older children who seek soft-adventure or a younger family that revels in the facilities of a luxury hotel, Ubud offers something to suit one and all. During your time in Ubud we have included a tour where you will have the opportunity to meet some local Balinese families. Explore scenic villages and learn about daily Balinese practices from ceremonies to rice farming before enjoying an exclusive lunch in the rice paddies surrounding Ubud. Spend the afternoon exploring the region and even traverse up the slopes of Mount Batur for spectacular views.

Accommodation: Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan (5 nights)

  2. Days 6-10: Jimbaran

Following five nights up in the center of the island, you'll make your way down to the south coast for a stay at in the bustling resort of Jimbaran Bay. With safe, golden beaches and a fantastic array of restaurants, water-sports and activities to choose from, it is the perfect family beach destination.

Learn about Balinese culture and visit some of the islands most ornate temples or enjoy a local food tour sampling the huge array of fruits and exotic spices. Partake in a guided tour of eastern Bali, relax on one of Jimbaran’s beaches, learn to surf or simply enjoy the facilities of your chosen family-friendly hotel.

We have also included a visit to Bali’s Rivers, Oceans, Lands and Ecology Foundation. With your family, you will meet local students learning about how they are working with the community to help improve the environment, far from being too educational for a vacation this visit is inspiring for the whole family and is highly recommended.

Accommodation: Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay (4 nights)

  • Sunrise over Mount Batur

Experience incredible views from the summit of Mount Batur as the sun rises. Have breakfast before your descent and visit three younger craters with evidence of lava flow and finally enjoy a soothing dip in Toya Bungkah hot springs.
