A couples only itinerary - enjoy exclusive luxury all to yourselves
Wildlife, beaches, outback and iconic Sydney give you an overview of Australia
This itinerary visits many regions of Australia. As Hamilton Island is in the Whitsundays and not as far north as some islands on the Great Barrier Reef the weather is not quite so extreme. The best time to visit is still between April and October but it is still well worth a visit the rest of the year.
Kangaroo Island can be visited year round and the cooler weather between April and October can be when the best wildlife is viewed. Sydney and the Blue Mountains can also be visited year round.
Explore and enjoy some of Australia most beautiful and diverse destinations. Discover the beautiful Blue Mountains National Park, before travelling to Kangaroo Island to spend time admiring the endemic wildlife. Make your way across to Australia’s most dynamic must-visit city, Sydney, before heading to Queensland and experiencing life on Lizard Island in the Great Barrier Reef.
Begin your journey by heading into the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area. Despite being a mere 90 minutes from Sydney, the Blue Mountains National Park could not feel more removed. Relax in the relative quiet here enjoying the plethora of walking and hiking trails throughout the national park. During your time in the Blue Mountains you will have the option to enjoy a number of lodge-based activities (included as part of the accommodation) that will allow you to spot native wildlife and marvel at the sheer scale of the scenery. The rest of your time in the Blue Mountains is at leisure. You may choose to explore the quaint local villages or take a journey on a local steam train through the national park but one thing’s for sure – the Blue Mountains will not disappoint.
After your time spent exploring and relaxing in the Blue Mountains, your next destination will be Kangaroo Island, just 15km off the coast of South Australia. KI, as the locals call it, is also known as the ‘Australian Galapagos’. By day explore the landscape and see the wildlife of island and by night enjoy the relative luxuries of your chosen accommodation. Offering a more rustic experience, Kangaroo Island is relatively untouched, here you will enjoy a number of activities from your accommodation (included in the cost) allowing you to witness local wildlife, marvel at sensational coastal views and enjoy some of Kangaroo Islands culinary delights.
From here, make your way across to the fabulous city that is Sydney. With a huge range of accommodation on offer from boutique hotels nestled in the cultural Rocks area to deluxe 6-star hotels overlooking the iconic Opera House, Sydney offers something for one and all. Relax in this beautiful harbour city seeing the famous sights and getting to know the locals.
Included in your holiday is a bespoke private tour of Sydney by vintage car where you will witness some of Sydney iconic sites. Explore the Rocks District where mural-clad laneways offer boutique coffee shops and galleries before heading down to the harbour to witness the famed Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. You will also visit some of Sydney’s famous beaches including the legendary Bondi before admiring some of Sydney’s most exclusive suburbs.
The rest of your time in Sydney is at leisure – opt to spend a day sailing in the harbour or relax on one of the great city beaches. Wander through the beautiful botanic gardens or take in a performance at the Opera House – the options are endless.
The final element to your spectacular adventure will be a stay amidst the emerald islands and jewel coloured reefs of the Great Barrier Reef at Lizard Island.
Lizard Island sits right on the reef, so you can snorkel and dive right from the pristine white sand beaches, before enjoying sumptuous cuisine, much of which will have been caught on the reef that day, paired with superb Australian wines. This luxurious 'Robinson Crusoe' experience will be the perfect end to an incredible Australian adventure.
On this day tour, you will explore the Blue Mountain’s National Park admiring the dramatic landscapes and varied wildlife before enjoying a picnic lunch overlooking the endless panorama.
Enjoy a full day tour of Kangaroo Island, a truly unique island with distinct flora and fauna, with your local and expert guide.
