The best time to visit is between November and March, when spring time temperatures grace Cordoba and Patagonia is in its summer. Days 1-4: Buenos Aires
Fly to Argentina's vibrant capital, Buenos Aires, staying in one of the city’s most exclusive areas. We’ve included a private city tour with an expert local guide who can impart their knowledge on Buenos Aires’ diverse neighbourhoods: explore San Telmo’s cobbled streets, local markets, and contemporary art galleries and see the locals practice tango; people watch in chic Recoleta, marvel at the French classical architecture, stroll through elegant boulevards home to designer boutiques; and enjoy the street art scene in nearby Palermo. Spend an evening at the incredible Rojo Tango, widely considered the best show in the country, for a night of sophisticated and passionate dance, excellent steak and a fine red.
Accommodation: Faena Hotel Buenos Aires (3 nights)
-
Days 4-6: El Calafate
Next, fly south to Patagonia to the stunning El Calafate region where you can marvel at the breathtaking landscapes of the Patagonian steppe which surround Eolo, a remote lodge set within a 3,000-hectare estate. This unique ranch-style property has been built in the local style and boasts just 17 luxurious rooms, each with stunning views towards Lago Argentino. Spend days trekking in the surrounding mountains, mountain biking and fantastic stargazing in the clear night skies. Be sure to visit nearby Perito Moreno glacier and enjoy an unforgettable boat ride up to the face of the glacier to watch as chunks of ice crash into the water metres away!
Accommodation: Eolo (2 nights)
-
Days 6-9: Cordoba
Head north to Cordoba, to continue your adventure, staying at luxurious, family-run ranch. Encounter what is easily some of Argentina's best horse riding and polo, with beautifully kept Criollo horses on site. Learn to prepare a traditional Argentine 'asado' (BBQ) and accompany local gauchos into the surrounding hills or try your hand at polo with these experienced riders.
Accommodation: Estancia El Colibri (3 nights)
-
Days 9-12: Mendoza area
It’s back to the airport and a flight west to the charming city of Mendoza, nestled at the base of the Andes for your trip’s grand finale. Heading into wine country, the landscapes will take your breath away, as rows of vines line up in front of rugged Andean peaks creating a beautiful contrast. We’ve included a top-class privately-guided wine tour that will take you around the region famed as home of the Malbec grape. Choose to simply relax or enjoy adventures amongst the vineyards, with horse riding and cycling trails available, as well as kayaking, climbing and even rafting. After three nights here, return to Buenos Aires and connect with your flight back home.
