June to September is the Best time to travel
Alaska is best visited throughout its summer months of May to September, with peak season running from June to August. This is when the temperatures are at their warmest and daylight hours are at their longest. Hawaii is a fantastic year-round destination and the summer months are often hot and dry making this a perfect combination.
A dream combination for adventurers and nature lovers, this itinerary takes in the highlights of both Alaska & Hawaii. From surfing to bear viewing & snorkelling with manta rays to soaring over rugged mountains, this trip explores the best of both states.
Fly into Anchorage on the southern coast of Alaska to begin your journey, basing yourselves at the comfortable Hotel Captain Cook for one night to relax after a long flight.
The next day, head up to Talkeetna, a charming town which is ideally placed for breaking up the journey into Denali National Park. Talkeetna is commonly regarded as the adventure capital of Alaska so get into the spirit and go ziplining or rafting to get your adrenaline pumping! For something a little more relaxed then flight-seeing excursions can be arranged to take in Denali from the air, soaring over the meringue-like peak of North America's highest mountain.
From Talkeetna, drive up to the entrance of the park itself, leaving your car parked at the Denali Cabins to board your shared transportation into the park. Denali Backcountry Lodge, your home for the next two nights, can be found deep within the park and can only be accessed on shared transport due to restrictions. This is the perfect opportunity to enjoy relinquishing the wheel; sit back and keep your eyes peeled for that famed Denali wildlife as your guide points out distant moose, bear or the occasional soaring eagle. Spend your days here exploring on foot or by bike for the adventurous and enjoy some world-class fishing.
Drive back to Anchorage and spend one more night at Hotel Captain Cook.
The next day, drop off your car hire and catch your flight to the Aloha State. You’ll have a night in Oahu to enjoy the sights and sounds of Hawaii’s most famous island before heading to Big Island the following day.
Now is your chance to relax as little or as hard as you like as you spend six nights at the elegant Four Seasons Hualalai. The focus here is on water activities - learn to paddle traditional outrigger canoes, go snorkelling, paddleboarding, surfing, kayaking and deep sea fishing. If you tire of the beach then there is still plenty on offer on land or at the resort - take a helicopter over Hawaii's spectacular volcanic landscapes, go ziplining, go on ATV adventures, make use of the tennis courts, go horseriding or even play a round of golf.
After a week of fun-filled adventures under the Hawaiian sunshine, it’s time to head back to USA’s mainland. Let the kids run wild at Universal Studios or take them on a movie star home tour. If you haven’t had enough of exploring, we can also arrange a privately guided hike to the Hollywood Sign. After two nights in the city of angels, head home on your overnight flight.
Marvel at black sand beaches and eerie lava tubes on this incredible full day tour by helicopter and on foot, taking in highlights of Hawaii's Volcanoes National Park, accompanied by a private guide.
Your adventure begins when you board a converted school bus and venture deep into Denali National Park. This half day trip offers an unforgettable wildlife experience (wolves, bear, caribou, moose) and sightseeing Denali's most iconic landmarks.
Join a guided kayak tour across beautiful Kealakekua Bay then snorkel Captain Cook monument where you will see abundant fish life as well as potentially dolphins, green sea turtles and even humpback whales.

Venture on to private land to explore the upper slopes of Kona's very own volcano, Hualalai. Explore cinder cones, craters and an intact lava tube with your guide, giving a true insight into this fascinating part of Hawaii's Big Island.
Enjoy the thrill of Surfing in the warm tropical waters of Hawaii, the birthplace of Surfing. Whether you're a complete beginner or a wannabe Kelly Slater, we can arrange for you to have lessons or take you to the ultimate big wave spots.
Experience the vivid clarity of the Hawaiian sky at night on this sunset tour to reach the summit of Mauna Kea. Travel by 4x4 to the very top for sunset then enjoy a picnic dinner amongst stunning surroundings on this memorable volcanic adventure.
Speed across a series of ziplines on this three-hour canopy adventure through the forested ridges that sit above the town of Talkeetna and the Susitna River, cross suspension bridges and rappel from the canopy for the most fun way to enjoy the views.
Combine 2 of the Hawaiian islands' most exhilarating experiences; fly "doors off" over Kilauea Volcano and then land on secluded tropical farmland and swim under a 120ft private waterfall. An incredible day from Hilo on the East Coast of Big Island.
