This one-week South African adventure showcases two of the key attractions South Africa has on offer, including the famous Kruger National Park, and the cultural hub of Cape Town.

  1. Fly to Johanesburg then Hoedspruit

  2. Days 1-4: Makalali Game Reserve

Arrive into Hoedspruit from Johannesburg. Transfer Garoanga camp situated in the Makalali Conservancy, a private reserve on the edge of the well-known Kruger National Park.

This intimate camp boasts just six luxury tents fashioned using a mix of natural materials and stretch canvas all built into the rocks while overlooking the dry river bed.  Each luxury tent has a personal deck and comfortable hammocks, which are perfect for lazing in whilst looking out over the dry riverbed where animals pass frequently. When not on twice daily game drives in search of the Big five, relax and cool off in the central pool, indulge in a bush bath or treat yourself to a massage.  If you would like to get even closer to nature, guests can also take advantage of Garonga’s exciting sleep-out experience and enjoy a night out under the stars for an unforgettable night.

Accommodation: Garonga Safari Camp (3 nights)

  3. Days 4-8: Cape Town & the Western Cape

Take a flight to Cape Town, where you will stay at one of our favourite properties - The Belmond Mount Nelson. Located in the leafy suburb of Gardens, at the foot of Table Mountain, the Belmond Mount Nelson is one of the most iconic luxury hotels in South Africa. A whimsical shade of pink, the hotel surrounded by its stunning landscaped gardens is an oasis amid a dynamic city. From here you are near to the majority of Cape Town’s highlights, including the V&A waterfront, and within walking distance of Company's Garden and The Houses of Parliament.

During your time in Cape Town enjoy the incredible views over the city from the top of Table Mountain, discover the coastal buzz around Camp's Bay or enjoy a guided trip out to the Cape Peninsula famed for The Cape of Good Hope, the southern tip of Africa.  The city is filled with incredible restaurants so be sure to sample some South African cuisine during your stay.

Accommodation: Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel (4 nights)
