Itinerary

A trip to Finnish Lapland is an unforgettable experience full of treasured memories you will keep for a lifetime. Here, we bring the fairy-tale stories of Lapland to life with enchanting encounters with elves, reindeer, huskies and of course, Father Christmas.

  1. Fly to Finnish Lapland

  2. Days 1-4: Finnish Lapland

We recommend staying in one of our enchanting Christmas chalets, where a private chef is on hand to serve up plates of fresh food to warm your senses after a day frolicking in the snow. We will even provide some stylish winter outdoor clothing.

Over the next few days all your winter wonderland dreams will come true as you set off to a husky farm, where you will learn how to drive a sled lead by your energetic and excitable companions. After a hearty lunch it is time for your next adventure, this time powered by engine on a snowmobile. Explore your way deep in to the wilderness, meandering through enchanting forests and hurtling across a frozen lake. We also have mini-skidoos available for younger children.

The following day you will meet Father Christmas’ most trusted companions; his reindeer. Tucked up on a sleigh pulled by your reindeer you’ll set off for a ride you will never forget to Santa’s house. We will create a memorable, personal experience for the whole family, with a few surprises along the way and an unforgettable encounter for believers of all ages.

In between excursions you can choose what you’d like to do, and our professional host is on hand to take you out tobogganing, ice fishing or snowshoeing.

As night falls your private guide will escort you out once again by snowmobiles, this time in search of another magical wonder of Lapland; The Northern Lights. We will take you away from light pollution to a secluded area, with just your family around, to give you the best chance to view this incredible spectacle.

Accommodation: Rovaniemi Christmas Chalets (3 nights)

Experiences

  • Husky dog sledding

Husky sledding is a unique and thrilling Finnish experience and an opportunity for a close encounter with the excitable Lappish husky dogs. You'll travel through the snowy wilderness on a comfortable sled pulled by a group of huskies.

  • Northern Lights tour by snowmobile

Take a snowmobile across the snowy landscape in search of the Northern Lights. Once darkness has fallen, you will drive away from artificial lights and towards the Lappish wilderness. If the weather is clear, you will hopefully see the Lights dancing!

  • Pick and decorate your own Christmas Tree

Spend quality time together as a family and get yourselves truly into the festive spirit as you set off into the woods to choose your very own Christmas tree to take pride of place in your chalet.

  • Reindeer farm with reindeer safari

Enjoy an unforgettable private visit to see where Santa's loyal companions, his reindeer, live, followed by a magical reindeer sleigh ride through the snow-clad forest.

  • Snowmobile Safari

A highlight of any Arctic adventure, a snowmobile is a magical and exhilarating way to discover the incredible snowy landscape of Finnish Lapland.

  • Snowmobile safari with ice fishing

Set out by snowmobile on a thrilling ride to the frozen river where you'll try your luck at ice fishing. Your guide will show you how to drill a hole through the thick ice and instruct you on how to attract the fish, a traditional method for many Finns.

  • Snowshoeing in Finnish Lapland

Take part in a private snowshoeing expedition through the forest. You will be glad to have these specially-adapted shoes as you make your way down less-trodden paths in the deep snow.

  • Tobogganing in Finnish Lapland

Head to the nearby slopes and whizz your way down at breakneck speed- luckily you have soft snow to cushion you if you fall!

  • Visit Father Christmas

Venture through the snowy Lappish wilderness in true, authentic Finnish style, snug in your wooden reindeer sleigh, for a private visit to Lapland's most famous resident, Father Christmas.
