Zermatt offers excellent conditions throughout a long season. Skiing is well under way by early December and even late November due to high altitude glacial terrain around 4000m. As the season progresses, lower runs offer great conditions too and the skiing below 2000m is appealing when it gets really cold. By April when other resorts can be knee deep in slush, Zermatt will have the best conditions in the Alps. Check out the Zermatt Unplugged music festival in April too.

Description
La Vue is a collection of luxury, serviced apartments overlooking the village of Zermatt and the Matterhorn. Beautifully designed and appointed they offer guests a 5* hotel service, from a Michelin starred private chef to butler services. Sleep from 4-10.
Sitting on a rocky outcrop, close to the center of Zermatt, lies the beautifully designed La Vue. A luxury collection of two, three and five bedroom apartments, it is perfect for the independent skier who values privacy and high quality service. Opened in 2014, La Vue is built in a contemporary chalet style, mixing glass, wood and stone, giving a modern twist to the traditional and historic Zermatt farmhouses and chalets. Light and airy, with inspiring surround views, each apartment is stylishly furnished using local materials and plenty of homely alpine touches. They are reached by a private lift, just two minutes from the Church Square, making them ideal for dining out in the evening, and equidistant from the resort's lift system.
The most striking aspect of these apartments is the view, followed closely by the stylish interior design - the modern alpine style makes them exceptionally welcoming and comfortable. The living areas are spacious and the open plan kitchens are fully equipped, making them perfect for guests who'd like to cater themselves, as well as those who'd like to take advantage of the Michelin starred private chef. La Vue also has its own wine cellar with a wide selection of Swiss and international wines. Breakfast is part of the service, and this really is a fabulous way to start the day. All the bedrooms are beautifully appointed, with each one having its own bath, some of them being in the room itself, with quite spectacular views. Guests also have the benefit of an in-house concierge and butler service, whilst the apartments are cleaned daily.
La Vue has an excellent wellness area for those who may not be skiing, or for those who crave a little relaxation and indulgence at the end of the day on the mountain. Guests have use of a large Jacuzzi, Finnish sauna, steam bath, relaxation room and can take advantage of a range of massages and treatments.
The attention to detail and dedication to guests' comfort is paramount at La Vue, and guests really don't have to lift a finger whilst staying here. There is even a private limousine or helicopter service from the airport, for those who'd rather not take the train.
Zermatt offers some of the best skiing in Europe, and along with its height and position in the Alps, has snow later in the season. Ideal for all levels - the ski schools are excellent for beginners - there is plenty to test everyone. The mountain restaurants are famous, and we are more than happy to make suggestions and bookings for you. The resort also caters very well for non-skiers, with plenty of activities and a range of boutique shops and galleries.

Exploring the mountain is also straightforward with mountain railways and some wonderful walks, whether on foot or on snowshoes. If you would like a really close view of the Matterhorn, a helicopter flight around it is truly breathtaking.
Zermatt is much more of a cultural center than many other resorts. The English church is a highlight, especially at Christmas and art exhibitions, concerts, films, walking tours are plentiful. Every April, the Zermatt Unplugged music festival attracts big name acts.

Reviews
Claire Aston (Staff)
For those who know Zermatt and its incredible mountain restaurants, then La Vue is ideal. If you've had an exceptional lunch, you may not want to eat a big dinner in the evening, making a serviced apartment a good choice. You can eat as light as you like, or take advantage of the Michelin starred chef, if you really do want something special. And there's no better way than to start the day than with breakfast on the sun filled balcony.
