Located within a privately owned 250-acre estate, Cugó Gran, is a traditional Menorcan farmhouse, recently renovated to an exceptional standard. The beautiful setting lends itself to complete privacy, with guests having access to the whole of the estate. There are breathtaking 180° sea views and on a clear day it's possible to see the island of Mallorca in the distance. Sumptuous interiors, coupled with all the facilities and services you might expect from a 5* hotel, create the perfect setting for that special occasion or family vacation. Nothing is too much trouble, with a full team onsite to take care of all guests needs, including a house manager, assistant manager, butlers, chefs, maids and drivers, plus the option to hire various other staff including nannies and babysitters. Everything can be arranged prior to arrival, whether it's kayaking at sunset, horse-trekking through the countryside, pilates, yoga sessions or even a yacht charter.
Cugó Gran has under floor heating, air-conditioning and a 25 meter outdoor pool, which is fringed by exquisite landscaped gardens. With these added facilities, the house is ideal not just in the height of peak summer, but early and late season too. Fitness enthusiasts will love the state of the art Gym and for those that love a bit of pampering, there is also a Spa, with the option to hire massage or beauty therapist plus a personal trainer. The concierge team can create something individual for you.
A crucial part of any stay at Cugó Gran is the cuisine. A professional Chef utilizes locally sourced ingredients to create delicious, tasty menus for breakfast daily and lunch and dinner, 5 days a week. Coupled with that, there is a fantastic selection of wine available, including those from the nearby, Sa Forana Estate.
The island of Menorca has plenty to explore and is a beautiful mix of rugged coastline to the north, with access to pathways and coves, which are dominated by pebble beaches, to the sandy beaches of the South, which are ideal for families with smaller children.
The house is split between a main house and an adjoining Boyera guesthouse. Inside the main building there are seven en-suite double bedrooms, two on the ground floor, four on the first floor and a delightful suite on the top floor. In the adjoining guesthouse (formerly the stable block), all four of the bedrooms are located on the ground floor. All the bedrooms have White Company linen, towels, bathrobes and candles and offer L'Occitane products.
Babysitters and qualified Nannies can be arranged on request. Within the house there is a variety of games and outside, a tree house, swing, giant Jenga, chess and a croquet lawn.
There's a fantastic choice of facilities both inside and out. Within the landscaped gardens, there is a 26 meter outdoor pool, a choice of outdoor dining locations and a barbecue area. Inside there is a gym with treadmill, bike, rowing machine and weights plus a massage room, with treatments provided by an onsite professional therapist. Personal trainers, Nutritionists, Yoga and Pilates instructors can be arranged on request.
The concierge team are happy to book a range of activities from sailing day or yacht charter, to a beach picnic, cycling tour or even a some wine or gin tasting. The neighboring Sa Forana estate produces some lovely wines, including vines from Cugó Gran's own vineyard.
If you would like to go further a field, Menorca has some beautiful places of interest, including the towns of Mahon and Cuitadella. Nature lovers and walkers should spend some time walking the renowned Cami de Cavalls; an ancient 116 mile path that encircles the whole island, taking in a wealth of beauty spots, coves and bays.
