Finca Cortesin has just 67 spacious suites, with views over either the beautiful Andalucian countryside or the sea. For larger parties and family groups, there are also six contemporary style private villas with their own pool and landscaped gardens.
The exterior of the hotel has been designed as a traditional Spanish Finca, whilst the interior is carefully modelled on a Moorish cloister, typical of the architecture of this region. The hand carved ceilings and floors, marble, antiques and fountains all fit in perfectly with the landscape and surroundings.
The hotel has three outdoor and one indoor swimming pool, all treated with salt water, an extensive spa, tennis courts and one of Spain's best 18-hole golf courses. There are three great restaurants serving Japanese and Spanish cuisine and light tapas, and the beach is less than a mile from the hotel. For tennis lovers there are two paddle and two tennis courts overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The Finca Cortesin has its own beach club on the “Bahía de Casares” beach, less than a mile away. For those who'd rather not walk, there is a hotel shuttle to take you to and from the beach. The club has lush gardens, day beds and sun loungers surrounding the 35m infinity pool. Fresh Mediterranean cuisine and the freshest of seafood is served in the restaurant.
The nearest local village is Casares, with its typical small restaurants and bars. The famous “white villages” of Andalucia are all in close proximity, whilst the stunning town of Ronda with its must-see bullring, is only a 45 minute drive away. This hotel is perfect for combining relaxation with some golf, tennis or some spa treatments, and is a great base from which to visit the local area.
The hotel features 67 spacious and comfortable suites and seven villas, designed in a simple and contemporary Mediterranean style, making the most of the surrounding natural light and beauty. Every suite has a private garden or terrace, with some having private pools and all with magnificent views. The bathrooms are all luxurious and oversized. The Executive Suites (which have a bedroom and separate living area) can interconnect with a superior room for additional space, making them ideal for families.
The villas all have four bedrooms (two on the ground floor and two on the first floor), with an ultra spacious living room, dining room, marble bathrooms, fully fitted kitchen and private pool. Every suite and villa has LCD TV and WiFi. The villas are situated in a cluster together approximately three minutes from the main part of the hotel and have the benefit of having some additional space and privacy but with all the services and facilities of the hotel at your finger tips. The villas are ideal for large family groups or parties.
The Junior Suites comprise 52 square meters with a ceiling height of 4m. Roman Travertine marble floors, king size bed, rugs made from natural fibre, Egyptian cotton bed linen and towels. The lounge area features a sofa, arm chairs and a desk.
The 12 square meter bathroom is fitted with Travertine marble and incorporates bathtub and separate shower cubicle.
Each Executive Suite is unique and comprises a surface area that measures between 73 square meters and 97 square meters with a ceiling height of 4m, and separate lounge. Some incorporate a kitchenette and a guest toilet. Roman Travertine marble floors, king size bed, rugs made from natural fibre, egyptian cotton bed linen and towels.
The bathroom measuring between 16- 23 square meters in size is fitted with Travertine marble with bathtub and separate shower cubicle. Every suite has a porch and private garden or terrace with golf, garden or views of the Mediterranean
The Pool Suites are 80 square meter with a ceiling height of 4m. The suites incorporate the use of a large, individual living room in addition to an indulgent bedroom to create the perfect ambience. Each suite boasts an impressive 60 square meter terrace and private swimming pool.
The 18 square meter bathroom is fitted with Travertine marble and incorporates bathtub and separate shower cubicle.
The largest suite within the hotel which comprises of 180 square meters with a ceiling height of 4m. The suite features two indulgent bedrooms with 2 bathrooms that measure 17 and 23 square meters. The suite also includes an enormous lounge with two separate living areas, a study, a kitchenette and an impressive balcony with views of the exuberant gardens and the Mediterranean.
An impressive selection of east and west antiques and the finest curtain fabrics and upholstery, finish off this beautiful suite.
The villas are south facing and enjoy generous proportions and quality finishes. With an inside surface area of 420 square meters, they include 4 en-suite bedrooms, living room with a fireplace, dining room, marble bathrooms, fully furnished kitchen equipped with the latest appliances, storeroom, separate utility room and guest toilet. The ample exterior terraces and porches, garden and private swimming pool, complete the setting.
These villas are the perfect choice for families or guests requiring more space and privacy.
Connecting Executive Suite with a Junior Suite. Executive Suite are unique and comprise a surface area that measures between 73m2 and 97m2 with a ceiling height of 4m, and separate lounge. Some incorporate kitchenette and guest toilet. Roman Travertine marble floors, king size bed, rugs made from natural fibre, egyptian cotton bed linen and towels. The Executive Suite is connected with a Junior Suite which is 53sqm.
Children are welcome to come and stay at Finca Cortesin, there is a mini club for children aged 4-12 years from May - October. The club is open daily from 10am - 6pm at a cost of 25 euros per day (half days excluding lunch are complimentary).
The Finca Cortesin mini club is ideal for families that wish to spend some quality time together but would like the option of having a supervised facility to leave their children for a few hours at a time.
Finca Cortesin has three restaurants including Kabuki Raw offering a Japanese inspired menu of home grown organic vegetables and fresh fish, complemented by some great wines. El Jardin de Victor presents a sophisticated touch to traditional Mediterranean cuisine and focuses on the finest fresh local products. The Blue Bar serves snacks, drinks and classic cocktails with impeccable service. There are two tennis courts, four swimming pools (one is exclusively for families), 2200sqm spa and an 18 hole championship golf course, home of the Volvo World Match Play Championship. Not to mention the stunning 6000m² beach club.
The Costa del Sol offers some of the finest conditions in the world for sailing and wind surfing. There is also opportunity for scuba diving, waterskiing and many other water sports. The hotel will be able to advise you and help to arrange on any activities you wish to participate in during your stay.

Finca Cortesin is located near Estepona, between Marbella and Sotogrande, on the Costa del Sol, 20 minutes from Gibraltar.
When to go
Andalucia has a Mediterranean climate, making it a year round destination. In general you can usually rely on pleasant or hot temperatures from April to early November. In Andalucia there are plenty of warm, sunny days right through winter. The best time to visit is in the Spring and Fall when the temperature is just perfect with warm sunny days. During July and August it can be very hot and some days the temperature reaches 40°C, Andalucia is extremely crowded during these months.
