Cordoba, the capital of Andalucia, has an inspiring balance between the past and the present. A Roman colony granted independence, Cordoba is a center branded with the reaffirmation of Christian power and is now a beautiful town that manages to preserve all of this history.
Palacio del Bailío’s 54 rooms capture the essence of Cordoba’s past and present – located within the historic 18th century palace, the rooms are contemporary in design with modern furnishing. Unique vaulted ceilings or ancient stone arches characterize some of the Deluxe rooms, while others are flooded with mouth-watering aromas from the indoor garden.
There are a number of terraces throughout the grounds, the main one is particularly spectacular; paving has been replaced with a glass floor, showing Roman ruins four meters below. The hotel’s very own Bodyna Spa (located in perfectly maintained and restored Roman Baths) offers a comprehensive selection of services and treatments based on their very own line of natural cosmetic products. Delicious fresh, local cuisine is served in the Arbequina Restaurant Córdoba in a contemporary, fine-dining environment. The tapas bar offers a more informal dining option with a creative menu selection.
The 40 rooms and 14 suites exude exquisite luxury shown in velvet headboards, century old frescoes and hand painted stucco walls. Some Deluxe rooms enjoy vaulted ceilings or ancient stone arches, others are flooded with aromas from the indoor garden. The suites boast marble bathrooms with separate bathtub and shower. Exclusive mattresses and Egyptian cotton bed linen add to the luxury of the rooms. Every room has high speed internet, a plasma screen satellite TV and DVD player.
|Grand Suite Loft||
This luxurious suite is located on the top floor, reached only by a private elevator. It is flooded with light through its 14 window features giving panoramic views of the city and the surroundings of the Dolores Convent.
The exceptional deco is made of pure materials such as velvet and leather textures, bounded by ultimate balance, in a renewed historical building, that became the first five stars hotel in the city of Córdoba.
The bathroom also, flooded with natural light and direct views to the city, has a modern design outdoor tub and shower.
The four Suites are very singular and feature hardwood floors and large spaces. Set over 34 square meters they feature large windows with plentiful natural light.
You can admire valuable original paintings of the eighteenth century such as scenes of the El Quijote and century-old frescoes of the Great Captain of Córdoba, one of the most prestigious military personnel during the reign of the Catholic Kings.
The four exclusive Junior Suites are different because of their great artistic and architectural value. Each room is unique and all have spectacular natural light that enhances the exceptional deco made of pure materials such as velvet and leather textures that simply adjust to the richness of the ancient chambers of the palace.
These rooms are all unique, rich in architectural design. Some of the rooms enjoy the delicious scents of the indoor mediterranean garden, some have vaulted ceilings or ancient stone arches from the old palace but, all have one thing in common, the distinctive architecture that enhances the exceptional deco made of pure materials such as velvet and leather textures.
Luxurious rooms exquisitely decorated with velvet headboards, century-old frescoes and hand painted stucco walls. All boast plentiful natural light and are welcoming and the height of comfort.
Hospes Palacio del Bailío has been designed with adults in mind and the hotel is therefore not recommended for families.
